Our community is growing!

I don't know if any of you check the Member lists to see how many new people have joined lately or not, but here are some interesting numbers:

We have had more new members join so far in 2004 (229) than all of 2003 (219).
June 2004 was our 3rd highest month for new members with 48. April 2004, had 47 and our highest was March 2004, with 52 new members.
Although I can't statistically prove this, I believe we had more male new members in June than any other month.

Yea Gang! Keep passing along the word about this site.

Congrats to everyone who is posting for keeping this an interesting, informative site, that lots of people are wanting to particpate!

Yes! I've noticed more activity on the boards too. It doesn't feel like just me and Bikerbraid anymore, not that it's a bad thing ;) I think the activity surge is also from many visitors and/or members, taking courses during the year, who are out for summer holiday. me personally, I travel a lot during the summer so you'll be seeing the occasional week absence. and then I miss the board terribly!

I've been passing the word about since I found the Long Hair Care Guide on the site. I had posted the link to a few live journal communities when people had asked how to better care for their hair.

I joined, because I am in the process of trying to grow my hair long, and I want all the help I can get to keep it strong and healthy.

Now, If I could quit smoking, that would go a long way.

I've been posting links but on another messageboard; some links going to Longlocks and some to other hair sites. but the new folks sent me a complaint message. They didn't want me "attempting to lead visitors away from" their site.

My reasoning was that hair advice is hair advice and it's better to help the consumer, since their place isn't as long-hair-friendly as some. This new site has thousands of members and visitors though, and I didn't think outside links would be an issue. Especially if they're gonna have confidence in their own excellence. Oh well.
