HI everyone :)

Hi everyone.  My name is Katie.  I was searching around the web last night trying to find a site that had tips for styles for long hair.  And now I'm here.  I read a lot of the conversations on different hairstyles and I decided to become a member because I like all the ideas and tips and they are very helpful to me.  Here is a little bit about me:
My hair is about 3 inches above my waist, with shorter layers in front
My hair color is brown
My hair is curly in the front, and more to the wavy side in the back
I don't have any favorite products but I use Pantene Pro-V products on my hair.. when I get more money I plan to try out new products
My favorite hair accessories... this past year my hair has only known ponytail holders  Tongue Roll Eyes

I read the 20 rules on keeping healthy long hair... and i felt like a sinner lol....  I haven't gotten my hair trimmed in 8 months!  My mom was a beautician so she always cuts/trims my hair.  I've been asking her to trim it for months now but she never has the time.  I guess I should just get off my lazy butt and go to a regular salon.  I either leave my hair down, or in a ponytail.  If I try REALLY hard I can get it into two english braids.. but it takes me a few times to get it to look normal  Tongue  I would really love to learn how to french braid my own hair, and I would like to know how to do a messy bun.  I think some of the buns hairstyles Ive been seeing are somewhat plain looking for my face... I want my curls to show but still have my hair up and out of my face.  Are messy buns bad for your hair?

Thanks bikerbraid for "welcoming" me Smiley everyone here seems really nice..... i hope to talk to you all soon   Smiley

WELCOME!!  Glad to see ya jump right in with us.

French braiding takes a bit of practice, but once you get it figured out (and your arms get used to being held up high!) you will really like the style.

Your length of hair provides lots of opportunities for different styles - its time to experiment.
