Today I noticed my hair was dry on the ends I tried just oiling the ends but it didnt seem to be absorbing it. I did a vinegar rinse after washing and before conditioning and it immediatly got softer and more bouncy. I am so happy i have found something that works good with my hair type. If I hadnt found this site and learned how to take care of my hair it would still be breaking off and be very unhealthy so thanx guys I appreciate it.

I've benefitted so much, too. My own hair used to mostly break off just above the waist.
I wonder if internet support for women growing long hair is having an impact on the number of women who choose to or succeed in doing this?

YES!! I know I would have cut my hair long ago if it had not been for the support of fellow long hairs online.

Me too, absolutely. The last few times I've tried to grow my hair I've always got fed up with it before it even reached shoulder length.
You guys are the best!

Because of this site I've been inspired to grow my hair
long and try to fine my terminal length( although that
may be difficult with my type of hair) I was resigned to
keeping it short before because its so hard to keep my
hair in good condition(alternates between frizz in summer and fly-aways in winter.) when its past my chin,
but I've found such good tips on this site. Plus, I really
want my hair long enough so one day I can order and
wear a pair of those beautiful hairsticks!! I'm so glad
I found this site.

without this place my hair would be horrid! id still be using tonnes of shampoo and not leaving my conditioner on for very long, brushing when wet, doing nothing about split ends and blow drying on hot whilst vigorously brushing out wet tangles! ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Yeah,me too. I'm doing several key things differently
since I found this site. I've quit all heat styling, and washing much less. I don't brush my hair at all, wet or
dry, I just use a wide tooth comb(pick).

Well, I've always been horribly lazy when it comes to my hair anyway, so I didn't have many bad habits to break,
just a lot of good ones to pick up.
And I've learned so much from all the lovely ladies here. Thank you Rapunzel! Someday I will repay you by actually saving up enough money to order a pair of your gorgeous hairsticks.

I used to use plastic combs, Pert Plus, and very small hairbands... Outside, I would never protect my hair from the California sun..... Even though I never used heat tools or styling products, I made up for it with lack of care. NOW I KNOW BETTER THANKS TO LONGLOCKS!!!!
