Hi there!
Mar 4th, 2005 at 11:04pm

How ironic that I came across this site on Wednesday, the day before I was scheduled to get my hair cut!  I was just so fed up with my split-ended, flyaway, refusing-to-grow-past-the-small-of-my-back hair, I wanted to get rid of it!

Well, after poking around this site, I followed some of the suggestions, such as braiding at night, and CO washing and, Wow! What a difference in my hair!  It's SO much better!

I did decide to keep my hair appointment, but just to get the unhealthy part cut off.  Fortunately, I found a stylist who listened to what I wanted, was very supportive of my desire to grow my hair, made intelligent suggestions, and most importantly, stuck to our agreement as to how much was going to go.  It's now around the middle of my back, so I really didn't have to lose that much.

Now that I've found this place, I hope to be successful in growing my hair back to as long as when I was in high school, when I could sit on it.

Thanks all!

Welcome divewench!  Glad you found this site before you did something you'd regret, and have to wait a long time to recoup!

Welcome aboard divewench  Smiley
The timing was perfect, yes? It's so strange how it happens sometimes in our lives, for small or bigger issues. A small chance meeting/discovery/reading/whatever comes along and points us in the right direction, or helps us along.
Coelho would have a lot to say about this I guess. Smiley

Thanks all for the warm welcome!  I'm still amazed at the huge difference in the texture of my hair, after only a few days of CO and night braiding.  I will definitely be hanging around here!
