Hi!  Newbie here
Mar 23rd, 2005 at 8:39pm

Just wanted to introduce myself.  I'm trying to grow back 6 inches of badly damaged hair (old perm Embarrassed) that I had to cut off recently.  Now my hair is 17" in the front and 25" in the back.  The ends are still damaged, though not as badly.  I"ve learned a lot of great things from this board so far, and my hair seems to be happier than it has been in years.

Let's see, I'm a 1bMiii--I'm guessing a bit on the 1b part as I haven't seen the natural texture of my hair in years (see above, re:  old perm  Undecided), but the more I see of it, the more I realize why--it's very slippery and flat-out determined to do the opposite of what I want  Roll Eyes.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to continuing on my long hair journey and it's nice to meet everyone!

Welcome!

I too have a slippery hair. But I've noticed that it becomes more manageable as it grows- or then one just gets practice and the styling becomes easier because of that.  Grin

Have you tried a bun net?
