EVOO Questions
Jul 8th, 2005 at 12:48pm

I bought some EVOO at the supermarket last night and was wondering if anyone had some tips on it's use for hair.  I know some people find it too heavy and others swear by it.  My hair likes oils so I want to give it a go. Your input would be great!

Thanks!  Smiley

I don't use EVOO, but I do use 100% pure olive oil...I find the smell less offensive. I do think its a pretty heavy oil and it doesn't seem to work well for me on wet hair. I like to use mine right before I wash or I put it on before bed and bun my hair and cover it with a scarf. As an extra precaution I put a towel over my pillow. BB recommended heating the oil and then putting it on ones hair, I haven't tried this yet but plan to. I have however covered my hair with a damp warm towel that I microwaved.

Good luck and if it doesnt work on your hair you can always make some yummy salad dressings.  Tongue

Yum, I would like a salad right now...

I use some EVOO on my ends only.  I found that it helps the end of my braid smooth out.

I EVOOed my hair, put it in a bun and left it over night. What a great treatment, I loved it!  Grin  I'll put the details in my journal.
