37.5 inches at best.  So I haven't had even 2 inches of growth this YEAR.  I've trimmed a couple times, but minimal amounts, and certainly not enough to make me feel better about this lack of growth.   Cry

I went out and bought silica today.  I've had great results with that in the past, and will also pick up biotin and MSM.  I'm also going to work VERY hard at eating better and getting more protein in my diet.

Wow, I can't believe this is the first time I'm posting something on this particular board. Anyway, 26.5 inches. I think I had .75" of growth for the month of July. Somehow that seems too good to be true...

I had another cut/trim on Saturday, exactly two months after the last. I *think* I've found a salon-lady who is not scissor-happy! yeahhhh
So now my measurement (hair styled and quite wavy) is:
81cm/31.88inches
Even after two haircuts/trims there is still a bit of growth.
Hovering above waist length..  Cheesy

I'm at 49'' now- but still debating wether to trim off a bit again or not. My ends are definitely not nice-quite thin-but it 's getting closer  to my goal of knee-length. ???

It seems that the big growth spurt I was hoping for the summer is not going to come.  Undecided I got just the regular 0.5 in/1 cm of growth which takes me to length of 23.23 in / 59 cm.

One inch until I've grown back the hair I cut at beginning of June.  Smiley

About 3 in until BSL (about 26.5 in).  Sad

Got a trim last week so lengths are shorter.  I'm switching to inches because it's easier for me to think that way Wink

From part to end of longest top layer:
18.5"  (difference from last Mo.: - 2.5")

From part to end of shortest top layer (by sides of my face):
16" (difference from last Mo.: -.25")

From part to end of longest bottom layer hair, just to see what it'd be if it were one length.
24" (same as last month)

Thickness (around a ponytail):
4.2" (same as last month)

I'm at 18.5 inches--only grew a half-inch since July but, hey, I'll take what I can get.

I'm still not too sure where to measure from, but I tried it from the front hair line down. Could be accurate or not. Oh well.
I gave in. I wasn't going to measure my hair yet, but I did. It's 22.5 in. That's not bad especially because I just got a little trim. I hope to double that eventually.  Smiley

I was checking everyone elses out and felt so insignifigant at 22".  Embarrassed But I also have this compulsive need to cut my hair shorter than 'last time'. I just need to find someone to dust my ends for me and stop going to a salon, otherwise I'll end up bald!

You could also trim your hair by yourself. Feye's self trimming method is explained here.

Don't worry your lack of length too much- it will grow (that's what I keep telling myself). Put your hair up in a nice updo with some hairtoys you like- it makes you feel more longhair.

Don't feel too bad, R_W! But I know how you feel. Even though my hair is past brastrap length, sometimes I still think that it's really short. You should know that a lot of people measure from their hairline, over the top of the head, down the length of the hair, and that adds inches to the measurement. So although I wrote 26.75", if I measured an individual strand of hair, it's not going to be 26.75 inches long.

And to stop yourself from cutting your hair shorter each time, perhaps you could tape a picture of someone with long hair to your mirror and keep that goal in mind when you have the urge to cut shorter. That might not help at all, but it's one idea.

Woohoo!

When I was combing my hair I noticed that it looked much longer than I remembered. I grabbed a measuring tape, and after three times I had to believe it- I've gained 2 cm/ almost an inch since I measured last in beginning of the month. So, my hair is now 61 cm/24 in long, which puts me almost where it was before June's cut.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
