No litterbox to clean, no cat hair to inhale--and it won't wake me at 3 am or bug the living daylights out of me when I'm trying to get ready for work. Wish I'd known about it 6 years ago.

Aww, thanx so much. You guys are the best.

I don't think it's "weird" at all. A pet is really just another member of your family when it comes down to it. Of course losing them is going to be painful!

In my case, my cat literally watched me grow up. I had her from age 5 through age 20, so she was with me through every little experience of my life. I lost a huge part of myself when I lost her. And yet, I know she's not really gone...
