Anyone have an opinion and or thoughts  on Maxiglide?

Hi I know that flat irons are a big no no for us long haired girls,but supposedly this Maxiglide isn't a flatiron'it actually glides through the hair.  My cousin swears by it.  I have one that is sitting there in the closet,in the box;(I keep ignoring it).  I actually never flat ironed my hair because I heard horror stories from ladies who had it done.  Eeeek,frying your hair  
I have it all one length and though I never measured it,when it is wet it comes right above the top of my hips.  Those curls make it spring up when it's dry though.  I try to always keep it braided.  What style  do you find easier to keep your hair in?

Sometimes when your hair can either look like Broomhilda the witch or something that the cat dragged in;you're either tempted to cut it off(perish the thought) or stick you head in a bucket of cold water to get rid of the frizz!!lol
I just got my first 2 sets of hairsticks from LL and can't wait to use them.  I'll let ya know how it goes:)

Ok I've been messing around with the "sticks" and my aha moment has occured I got tired of my bun unraveling so I decided to be a little firmer with the twist and inserting the sticks and holy cow I looked in the mirror and not only is there a bun,but it LOOKS like a bun!! Now for all you old pros out there,I know it's a yawn,but finally all pieces fell into place and the bun is in existence on my head!!  Ok now back to braiding......

Congrats CurlGirl!  I remember when I had that first bun finally work.  Although it was years ago when that happened for me, it was a significant moment for me to decide to continue growing my hair.
