Hi, I'm new.
May 10th, 2006 at 8:40pm

Hi.  I'd just like to introduce myself.  I'm 33 year-old wife and mother from Albuquerque.  I've decided that after months (9) of wishing for a hair cut (and finally getting one Embarrassed Embarrassed) that I'd like to grow my hair long again.

Right now my hair is bra lenth (23 inches), dark brown with blond highlights that are growing out (it's been 9 months since my last color) and I'm finding that I have a fair amount of grey also.  (I guess I'm going to look a bit like an unattractive calico cat for a while?).  My hair is layered--long layers, I didn't really want them but I was looking really fuzzy.  I do not have bangs and I'm not really talented when it comes to updos and things like that.

The longest my hair has been is waist lenth and I'd like to get there again.

I am an avid low carber and I hope that the ample protein and fat that I eat will help my hair growth.

I can use all the advice, inspiration, and help I can get and hope to find it here....I've been lurking on the boards for a couple of days and reading and you all seem very nice.

Greetings and welcome, nancyn28.

The longest my hair has ever been was waist length, and just like you, I'm trying to get there myself again. Grow, darnit!!  Grin

Best of luck getting your hair as long, healthy and beautiful as it can possibly be.  Smiley

Welcome! Your hair sounds very pretty.  Smiley
Making basic updos doesn't require much talent (if it did, I'd be in trouble...).
Longhairloom's Styling Station has good how-to instructions to many updos. Our hair is about same length, and though mine is probably thinner, you could also check my hair journal for pictures of some styles I'm able to make with my BSL length hair.

Welcome aboard, Nancy!  I'm sure you've already discovered that this is a great place to learn everything you never wanted to know about hair.   Grin

I don't know if you've read any of the online journals, but I just yesterday wrote something about returning to the low carb way.  Yet another reason for going (back) to low carb:  my hair LOVED it.
