Introduction

Hey, everyone, thanks for the welcome.

Here's a bit about my hair:
I have not quite waist length, golden blonde hair.  It's straight, fine and thin, and parts of it won't hold a curl, even with a perm.  Right now I'm using Garnier Fructis, but am considering a change.  I don't have a hair care system, but I'm hoping to change that.  I've wanted really long hair ever since I was little and someone told me I looked like Crystal Gayle ( ??? that has never been true); I immediately looked for a pic of her and decided that I want that hair!  However, my hair has been chopped by accident and against my willing consent several times, so here we are, hovering back to waist length for the thirtieth time.  If I could just once get it to my tailbone without someone talking a scissors to it I'd be thrilled!  I need lots of help preventing damage, and I need to get it trimmed now so I can start fresh.
As far as accessories: I usually throw my hair up in a messy bun and secure it with a scrunchie, or I braid it.  I love hairsticks, but the ones I buy at Target or wherever break so easily!  I've been drooling over LL sticks for two years or more, but haven't yet been able to make it work in the pocketbook.  I'm hoping DH will buy me a pair for our anniversary...I even have one picked out.  (One?  More like dozens...*slaver*)  Wink

About me:
I'm a SAH, homeschooling mom to two lovely little girls, one of whom had nearly waist-length hair until yesterday, when I trimmed off her damage.  Now it's probably mid-back length.  My other little is still getting her hair.  I'm really hoping her "terminal length" isn't going to be the nape of her neck!

I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, writing, role-playing games and medieval/fantasy stuff in general.  Since we moved into our first home in March, I've discovered that I also like cooking and gardening...who knew?

Welcome!  Glad you stopped by and introduced yourself.

Your hair sounds lovely (but it is a bit scarey that you keep having it cut when that is not what you want!  Shocked)

Keep "reminding" hubby about those hairsticks - they are worth every penny.   Grin

Hope to get to know you better and help you reach your hair goals!

Welcome ScrapGirl!  Your hair sounds lovely.  If I were you I'd make sure there was a ban on all scissors in your town/city/county/state!  Tongue
Take care of those little girls and their hair Grin

ScrapGirl,

Welcome to Long Locks!  My hair is very much like yours ...very fine golden blonde hair to my waist.  We might be long hair twins or something! Mine is stick straight unless I braid it wet and let it dry to make it wavy.  Glad to see you are here now.  Of course, we would be fraternal long ahir twins!

Welcome, Scrapgirl!  Your hair sounds beautiful!  Good luck in getting it as long as you want.  Who keeps cutting your hair when you don't want them to?  The nerve!!! Shocked

Look forward to hearing about your and your little girls' hair adventures!  Grin

Welcome! I'm sure you'll find here lots of tips on how to prevent damage and to grow your hair as long as you want. Smiley There are also instructions available on how to trim your own hair- I know many people find that very easy. I have my spouse to trim my hair. He got it right the first time he tried, and is a hundred times more gentle than any stylist ever.
LL hairsticks aren't the only quality hairsticks available (though, of course, they are the best  Grin ) . In internet, you can find good quality hairsticks at $15-$40.
