Hi There......
Jun 30th, 2006 at 10:27pm

I have long light brown hair with blonde highlights. It's a little past the middle of my back. I get comments on how beautiful it is all the time. Some people (mostly family) tell me I should cut it because I am over 40, but my hair stylist tells me as long as it's healthy to keep it long.

I don't like to blow dry my hair because I think having the highlights is pretty much pushing my luck. My hair is a little wavy when I let it dry. I love using the beautiful hairsticks that Susan makes because most of the time I can put my hair up damp and when I take it down at the end of the day it's just a mass of ringlets and I love it...although sometimes it's still a bit damp!

I love reading all your hair tips here, and seeing the gorgeous hairsticks that all of you own. I found Susan's site, just by chance while doing a search and the customer kudos really helped make my decision on placing that first order. I was so excited when they came and I saw how beautiful they were and from then on I knew I wanted to become a collector.

I also have to say they are made very, very well. I dropped one of them (whisper softly) on the ceramic tile in the bathroom and I was afraid to look because I thought it may have broken...but no, it's still perfect as ever. Could you imagine doing that with some of the other sticks out there?  Shocked

Anyways...thanks for reading this. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend everyone!!!

Welcome!
Your hair sounds lovely!  There are many of us "over 40" that refuse to buckle under to society's rules that we must have short hair.  Now that we have you hooked on the LL Hairsticks - you will NEVER cut your hair!  Grin

Woohoo! Another light brunette joins the boards!  Grin

Good to have you along, Tori.

I'd follow the others' advice & keep your stylist. You really don't find too many out there that recommend people keep their hair long...especially people over 40!

I say "people" and not "women" because the same "rule" applies to men. Whatever.  Roll Eyes

Anyway, welcome to the boards & congrats on your hairstix.

Welcome, Tori!  Cheesy

Your hair sounds just beautiful!  Grin  So, when did this "hair rule" ever come into play?  My grandmother firmly believes that all women 30 and over should not have their hair past shoulder length, what on earth kind of logic is that?  Well, I'll be approaching 30 shortly and definitely have no plans of cutting this hair of mine, sorry gram!

What a  difference!!  My grandmother is 94 and asked me to grow my hair 2 inches before it hits the floor!  I'm 41!  I doubt my hair would grow that long, but hey ya never know....................... Smiley
