Hi all, Grin

I've had this short peice of hair forever!  It doesn't grow and makes a neat curl and all but I wonder why no growth? Any ideas?

Neat curl!  I have no idea why you would have that lock that does not grow, but it is becoming!

I have the same problem. The Hair around my temples doesn't seem to grow. It is really curly too. The only reasoning that I can come up with is that that certain area of hair has already reached its terminal length. I know it sounds strange, but those pieces of hair haven't really grown in the last six years. I guess thats just the way some types of hair do. I haven't really been able to find anyone else with that problem either.

I don't have curly hair...  Cry what a shame!

But I do have hair around my temples and ears that get to be about four inches and that's it.  I don't know why they don't grow longer, but I have noticed that their texture is of finer stuff than the rest of my hair...

I just call 'em whispies, baby hairs.  And learn to love them.

I rather like the curl!  I think that hair around the hairline does have a shorter terminal length.  I used to think that I was breaking my hair by hair spray or hair toys, but I have been doing "friendly" things to my hair for a few years now.  I still got those "baby hairs".  Upon closer examination, I noticed that the tips taper off - they are not broken - which indicates they are new hairs.

Anyhoo, I like yours because it's thicker and you can actually wear it down.  I have to slick mine with aloe vera gel.

On a side note, I used to have a single hair right below my bellybutton.  When I discovered it was there, I pulled it out and it never grew back.  Now I'm bummed cuz I thought it was neat.  I did the same thing to one gray hair on my head.  People always told me it would grow back in twos.  Never happened.  So the moral of the story is, you might not like your curly hair now, but if it's gone you might really miss it!  Smiley

Oh I have the same thing too! Hair around my forehead and temples that have always been short and flighty and frizzy and above all a nuisance. I call myself a medusa for that! When first I found about this site and long hair care I thought it might have been from using the barettes for years. But it can't really be as this "halo" is much shorter than where the barette damage would have occured, or it doesn't really look broken. It is strange to hear others have the same thing too. And a sort of relief as I am not alone in that!
