I figured my last trim was about 1/2" from the snorkeling damage. I'm acutally happy about it, my hair is in such good shape. The length will come...with my regular trims it will take me 12-18 months to reach BSL. We'll see!

My hair is shrinking!!! Shocked

I recently cut off a 1/4 inch which put me at 24 3/4" but then I did what I THOUGHT was the tiniest micro trim but now I'm only at 24 1/4". I need to slowly move away from the scissors. As a matter of fact, unless I'm cutting out a knot, I'm going to attempt not trimming at all until the new year, maybe then I'll see better results.

Finally got to measure after my trim last weekend. Total length for October is 21¾ inches.

If I hadn't trimmed, it would've been 23½"!!! Angry

Meaning that I lost 1¾" during the trim...after asking for only ½" to be removed. Yikes.

This puts my total gain for the year at only 1¾" when it should've been more like 3 by now. *sigh* Ah well.

Considering that when I joined long locks in August, I had front layers of 6 inches and back layers of 8 inches (a shaggy bob), I'm really excited with my new growth. DH helped me measure today. The front layers are now 8 inches and the back is 10! Not sure why the sudden growth, but it is all virgin hair (for the first time in a few years) and I've been washing less. Also got rid of the blow fryer. Yeah!
So in a few years....hopefully I'll be where you ladies are!

My hair grew over an inch in a month (must be a record for me!) and measures now 70 cm/27.6 in. It's now clearly past BSL and I'm so happy! sends good hair growth vibes all around
