Has anyone tried Sunsilk shampoo?
Oct 12th, 2006 at 8:24pm

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone here has used Sunsilk shampoo. I am curious, and I'd like to try it, but I'd appreciate any advice.  I have thick fine hair, and I'm currently using Pantene Breakage Defense.  It's OK, but I was thinking I might try the Sunsilk type that's supposed to add moisture to dry hair.  A little extra moisture never hurts, right?  Smiley I didn't do S & D for a while, so now I'm cutting off more splits than I'd like. (I lost my good scissors, and was convinced that if I just looked hard enough they would turn up.  I finally gave up and bought new ones.)  Anyways, I digress.  If you've tried it and liked it or didn't like it please let me know.  Thanks!

I've not tried it myself, but I'd be interested in hearing what others think of it.

I got an e-mail from them (Sunsilk) the other day for free samples.  I requested samples for dry hair.  Lord only knows that me myself and others too need all the moisture they can get! Grin  I'll let you know if I try them after I read the ingredients.  If they are loaded with "stuff" that I don't want to try,I'm tossing them!!

Hi!

i actually have tried this stuff. i really like it. it makes my hair nice and soft and it smells yummy, which is always a bonus. Grin i tried the kind in the pink bottle- the moisturizing one. i live in a cold, windy, dry climate that kills my poor hair and this stuff helps it a lot.

I've tried several of these, as far as I remember...for damaged hair, for oily hair, for brown hair...it's nothing special, really, but it's ok. Smiley

Have you gotten you free samples yet, Curlgirl?  And if you did, did you try them or toss them?  I've been a little curious about Sunsilk too.

Hi Magz,  I didn't get the samples yet.  Ho hum....they take forever to mail those things out.  For now,I'm happy with the shampoo bars though.  I'm "itching" to buy some Ouidad Balance or Deep Treatment.  My hair is crying for them!!! Cry

Ok,here's the scoop!  I like this shampoo and conditioner, but since my hair is so long I needed more of it!!!  I used a combination of Ojon shampoo and conditioner and some all natural condtioner,Nature's Gate or something else from the health food store.  I had significantly less hair come out in the sink when I wide tooth combed my hair.  Horray, always a good thing.  It might be cause of the henna and indigo though.  The color is very dark brown,I'm shooting for almost black, but am happy with the coverage and outcome.  So all in all I might be buying this shampoo and condtitioner for dry hair to use alternately with the shampoo bar.

Sounds great!  Which version of the S/C did you get?  Mine arrived yesterday - I have the moisturizing one.  I'll have to give it a try tomorrow.

I got the Moisturizing one too!  Only problem is that us long haired ladies need more than what they give in the samples!!!  Smart business practice,I guess.  Give alittle, but not too much and keep em coming back for more!! Roll Eyes Tongue

I gave my shampoo sample away, since I don't like to use cones in a shampoo.  I do like the leave in conditioner for dry hair.  It detangles and softens, and smells great!
