I'm sorry it's such a frivolous "me" post but I had to share with you. You're the ones who will understand.. Embarrassed Embarrassed
I was approached by this young guy today with this comment: "Do you swim alone?"
Yes it was a down-hair-day today.
I blushed beetroot red  Embarrassed Embarrassed  Jeez, sometimes they surely know how to be nice, huh Roll Eyes Roll Eyes?
Such a pity he was so young  Grin Grin

lol greek_lady...

Nothing wrong with the younger guys, I guess, unless you're already spoken for.  Grin

But gosh, I don't think my hair could ever procure such admiration. You go, girl!  Wink

Sakina, I'm sorry I didn't explain it. I should have elaborated a bit more.
What he meant was that I looked like a mermaid with my long flowing hair and if I swim alone at sea or would I like some company...    WinkEmbarrassed Smiley
As for pics, no I have no pics of my hair. Noone around to make him/her take a couple for me, plus with all that shedding I have been having for the last year, I dread the result!

Angel Spun, thank you  Embarrassed Smiley
No, I'm not spoken for, but I like 'em a bit older and mature.  Embarrassed Wink
Prob is the "older and mature" seldom have the will or still-wild-imagination to come up with a line like that! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Mermaid hair! I love it!  Grin

Don't discredit the younger guys right away, greek_lady. One of them just might surprise you.  Wink  There are those rare few who have the youthful wit and energy plus the maturity and intelligence to go with it. So why limit yourself? I speak from experience, chica. Trust me.  Smiley

Ooh, that was nicely said of him! If you liked his approach, there might be something more you like about him too. Wink There's only one way to find out, though!

I agree with the rest- the one bit of wisdom I have learned about men is that although it's good to have some ideas about what you would like in a partner, you shouldn't let those ideas restrict you. There are 50-year old men whose brains seem to have stopped developing after they turned 16 (beats me HOW they have spent the years in between...) , and there young men who are a lot more mature than their age would suggest. I suppose that the latter are a bit more rare, but there are some.
Besides, you don't have to marry that guy right away- you can just have fun and get to know someone who seems like an interesting person. The serious side of things will come later, if it comes at all.

What a great "line"!  Cheesy  and what a compliment.  A compliment like that would leave me beaming for a week!  Feel free to keep posting your "frivolous" posts - we can all live vicariously thru you.   Cool

Okay, are you one of those "cougars" described on "How I Met Your Mother" this week? Jane Seymour was hilarious with Barney.  His description of a sex-crazed older woman (including mane, claws, etc) was fabulous.

Galadriel, yes you are right that was really nicely said. That's why I wanted to share. Smiley \

BB, I was beaming a long time, too. Nice, really nice, things like that don't come often my way, don't think! So I had better find someone else to live vicariously, through! Cheesy Wink

OldKathy, I am sorry, but since I don't  live in the States I don't know the show you are talking about and can't totally get the whole description. Although I can at least understand some part of it! Cheesy:D:D
