Boo!

Happy Halloween!
I'm sitting here, checking out all the messages between trick or treaters that are coming to the door.  This year is a "good" year.  Although it is chilly out (below freezing and a bit windy), it is not snowing or raining as it has for the last several years.

I enjoy checking out all the little ones' costumes, and even some of the big kids have decent costumes this year.  I've seen several princesses, several pirates, a Darth Vader, a group of high school girls dressed as "80's" girls.  No animals this year - I usually see a couple of lions and dinosauers, but none so far this year.

I don't hand out candy (I end up eating it if it is in the house Undecided).  This year I'm handing out pencils, little poppers, and foam flyers (like paper airplaines).  For the bigger kids I'm handing out pencils and bendy "devil" keychains.  Hopefully the kids will appreciate that it isn't candy but still fun.

Remember when you sent me that video last Jan. with the musical Christmas lights? You know the one where the lights danced to the music?

Well this year for Halloween, I set up three ghosts and several pumkins in a fenced graveyard singing (flashing) to the song Monster Mash, the '62 version. There were also two stteet lanterns, a tree, and a bush keeping time. It was a hit.

Sorry, no video... I don't have that kind of equipment. Sad

I wish I could have seen that!  I bet it was great.  Are you now planning your setup for your Christmas display?  I drove past a house today that was stringing their holiday lights and I thought of you.

I like your new avatar too!  Great work.

The Christmas display is about 25% complete. Should be finished, weather permitting and other creative ventures aside, by next week.

It's raining today, so it's inside practicing portrait art. Practice-practice-practice.

Those programable controllers are pretty neat. Added to my home-made sequencers and the whole display being controlled by a PC, I hope to have one of the better displays in the area.
