Long Locks

Everyone,

This note may sound nuts, but here gores anyway.  I was standing in my bathroom getting ready for work today.  I have mirrors that show views from behind there as well.  I was wearing a maroon shirt and noticed all my wavy blonde hair covering my entire back falling to my butt in the mirror.  It was so beautiful to see all that golden hair!  I just love the beauty of long hair!  Do you ever catch yourself admiring your long locks like I did today?  So many of you have hair that is so spectacular!   I admit I am a hopeless lover and admirer of beautiful long locks!

Why do you think most of us have long hair?  We love to look at it too!

It's like a reality check, though...I mean, I KNOW my hair is long because I mess with it every day.  But there's something about seeing the length in the mirror's reflection that gives me pause.  It's definitely a "wow!" moment.   Smiley

Ehehe, you're definitely not the only one! Since I've moved to Japan I've been told my hair is too long, so I need someone to appreciate it in real life (even if its only myself)...

Since I found this forum (beginning my 7th week), I have witnessed noticeable positive changes in my hair. Prior to that, I pretty much paid little attention, and before I knew it, 6-8 months passed and my dried-out, damaged hair had grown acceptably long. Of course, it frizzed like crazy and a trim was in order.

The point is, now that I am focusing on haircare, I pay attention to it more. This is sometimes disconcerting in that I am now aware of just how much time it takes to grow longer hair. Kind of like, "a watched pot never boils" -type thing, I guess.

So yeah, I check the mirror. Though I suspect that when it gets longer I'll succumb to more prolonged gazes.

Nice hair, Blondestorm. You give me something to shoot for.

Interesting you should ask, Jim. Coincidentally, I just took a tape measure to my hair. Three weeks ago, I had measured from the base of my neck and came up with 9-1/2 inches. Today, it is 10 inches. Then, out of curiosity, I measured elsewhere. At my temples 12", forehead 13", crown 13".

I suspect the answer you're looking for is – about three inches below my shoulders.

And yours?

My hair is now between 33 and 34" long from the forehead down to the ends now using a tape measure.  I am still trying to get it longer, but the longest I have ver had was 36" before my last trim of four inches.

Smiley Wow! That's in the area of my waistline. The longest mine ever reached was between my shoulder blades. Any idea how long it took to grow to that length? And, why the four-inch haircut, if you don't mind me asking?
