shooting

Good Morning all,  While working here in the school office, the FedEx guy came and dropped off a box.  He told me he had heard there was a shooting at our local Community College.  One of our students attends classes there.  The students sister called here saying she couldnt pick up her brother cuz the school went into a security shutdown.  We just heard from the students mom, everyone has been released for the day.  Our student is safe, but the family is very emotional now.  No other info has been released.  Thank you for letting me share this stressful news.

These (shootings) are getting ever so much more frequent. The problems the (experts) think causes this have always been around. There have always been bullies, loners, gangs, ect., even in the early 70's when I was in high school. Sad

The difference is we NEVER thought about killing someone when we didn't like them. Punch them, maybe, but never KILL them... The real problem is the acceptence of violence in society starting at an early age watching TV, not student cliques. This is where the experts need to focus. Undecided

Egad, Debr...I hope everyone's ok now.

Rodent's right, this sort of thing is happening more frequently now. How sad that some people choose this method to earn their 15 seconds of fame. It's not even original anymore.

Personally, I'd want to be remembered for much greater things.

Good Morning all,  Our student is safe and sound.  Alot of the problems being expressed through shootings or terriorism or abuse of some nature is cuz God has been taken out of the schools.  In early 60s, the Bible was no longer taught in the school system, then God was not allowed to be there.  Since it is human nature to worship, other things started taking the place of God.  Yes, violent videos, uncontrolled expressed anger to name two.  Also, parents have lost control of the their children by age of two, becuz they are no longer allowed to spank them.  Even God chastises, punishes, corrects His children.  Parents arent allowed too.  So, when we grow up, we have not been corrected and have not learned to control or channel our anger.  Therefore, when a person gets mad, they just shoot that which angered them.  Now, we have more people in jail than ever.  Even our current legislators know this system is not working.  Since building more jails is not the answer, what is?
