Vacation - yipee!
May 31st, 2007 at 8:47am

Hubby and I are heading out on our vacation Friday night - yipee!  We will be driving our RV to Custer State Park (in the Black Hills of South Dakota) to spend a night (maybe two).  Then we start our biking trip.  We will be bicycling (no motors!) all around the Black Hills including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, the Mickelson Trail and other places.  We are doing this with a small group - just 10 of us.  This should be quite different from the 1200 we are used to biking with when we do the Wisconsin trip. We will be biking 5 days, then hubby and I will camp another night before heading back to reality.

Hopefully the legs are ready for this.  I've only been street biking for 7 weeks (this season) and don't have many long rides in, but I have been commuting regularly, so I hope this will be enough.  Normally I would be just starting my training for a multi-day ride, this is so much earlier it has been hard to get in all the riding I'd like to do before a trip like this.

We won't have any internet access while away, so everyone will need to behave themselves for Sakina and Curlgir64.   Cheesy

This sounds quite nice. I actually saw a recumbant on the road (other than the midight Ramble) for the 1st time while out walking the dog.
