Birds
Jun 18th, 2007 at 2:00pm

I borrowed a brand new book from the library last week, and I was sitting under a tree to read it.  Yes, you guessed it.  A bird initiated me.  Some of the splatter got onto the book.  I finished the book and brought back to the library, showed the librarian the pages, and explained what happened.  She called it an act of nature, I dont have to pay for the book.

Yes, birds can "leave their mark" on you at the most inopportune times!  Grin  I had a similar experience just a couple weeks ago - only I was biking thru a tree canopy and was nailed ON MY NOSE!  Tongue yuck.

Glad the library was understanding (and good for you for alerting them to the condition instead of trying to hide it).

lol @ "initiated."  Grin

Random acts of nature. A similar thing also happened to me many years ago while I was fishing with some friends. Lakes, trees, you know how it goes.  Tongue

That is good you did not have to pay for the book Cool

This reminds me of the saying:

A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead Tongue
