Woohoo! I get to start another one! Do you believe that this year is already half over??
At any rate, I'm right about at 24" again.
How about the rest of you?

I'm at 26 inches. I trimed 1/2 inch off last month. My hair really needed it.

I'm at 22-1/4". With my curl, it looks about 1-1/2" shorter. I hate that about curly hair.

Same as last month for me,34 1/2 inches, but I measured today when it was dry. I've been measuring when it's wet,but today was not a wash day so probably Wed. or Sat. for the wedding, then I'll re-measure to see if there is any real difference. If there isn't........I'm beginning to be a little disappointed in the Merocco Method, but I may be not giving that a fair chance. Maybe I should give it a full year because I only trim when necessary and usually every three months. We'll see with the S&D missions and the dustings..............

My measuring tape is all packed up but my hair looks to be about 24" (dry). After I did my relaxer and my hair was still wet it looked bra strap length easy, which on me is about 25 inches long.
I know exactly what you mean about curly hair looking shorter Sakina, it's definitely frustrating at times.

Interesting...I see some people measure with wet hair and some with dry. Is there a correct standard? I mean, I always measure dry but that would make a big difference since wet since my hair has quite a lot of wave and curl to it. Can anyone direct me before I measure this month?

It doesn't matter to us if you measure wet or dry, but it is best to be consistent. Curly hair is easier to measure when wet as the curl is not as dominate. Your hair will measure a bit longer if wet (hair is very elastic when wet).

I measure yesterday. My first measurement was 38", 2nd was 381/2". Sooo-I went to moms and asked her to measure, and that came to 39inches.
Since I am trimming by the moon, the first 2 measurements kinda made me think the morrocco method isnt working for me. My hair grows an inch a month anyway, but WHEN mom measured and I have GROWN 2 inches this month, maybe there is something to the trimming by the moon. I will keep checking it each month, and I think I will continue to let mom do the measuring. She is more accurate than what I am. I am sooo excited
. 2 inch GAIN in 1 month. WOOO - HOOOO!!!!! I knew it was growing I just didnt know how fast.

Okay, got my mom to measure my hair today. GRR. Mad at hairdresser. I am still 21 inches...but I know my hair grew...otherwise I would not need my roots redoing. She told me I had not split ends and I asked her to just even up the hair since mom told me that some peices were 21.5 last month. Maybe in future I should just get my mom to even the length and let the hairdresser do the color and the bangs. Oh well, what is done is done. And at least I know my hair is healthy since 2 people told me today that my hair is 'magnificent'. Hopefully next month will be better. Besides, I know my hair grows faster in the winter.
BTW, people keep talking about this moon cutting. I have figured it is based on a book....what is the book? I would like to look into getting it.

Thanx for the link BB. It brings to mind a million questions...but I will wait until I have checked out the site better and will probably start a new thread for that.
