odd/interesting band with longhaired singer!
Oct 16th, 2007 at 2:48am

I noticed that one of my favorite bands, Echoes of Eternity, is going to have their nearest tour stop to here(unfortunately all the way in houston, tx!  Cry) on my birthday next year... checking out the other bands playing there, I came across Unexpect...

while the sound is much like a group of gypsies had a bad(Good?) acid trip near a recording studio and tried to make Metal... the singer,"Leïlindel" as she is called... has some seriously long hair. I'm pretty sure, from other photos, that it's even all hers! woo, go canadians! I am, however, hoping it's only that messy for stage, I'd hate to think the poor hair was left like that constantly!

 ...

there's also what appears to be a long-loc-hawked guitarist...

That's a neat look! But, yeah, I hope it's not like that all the time. I wonder what she has to do to get her hair like that.

Wow, what a glorious mess!  Cool! Smiley

I did something similar in high school when my hair was down to my tailbone. How I did it was: I would scrunch up some hair (on the top layer only - nothing underneath) and spray with hair spray. As long as I just did the topmost layer, it smoothed right out in the shower.

LOL!  I'm sure she didn't have to do anything "special" to get that look.  My hair can look like that if left down in the wind - or I wear the wrong kind of fabrics.  Believe me - it takes FOREVER to comb that mess out.

It does make for a cool look for a performer - I love to see long hair on stage.

I figure the headbanging didn't help matters any Tongue (I imagine headbanging with hair like that...she'd need some sort of neck massage after every show(whiplash, anyone?!))

In case anyone wants to check out the music, they're at http://myspace.com/unexpect ; ... I warned you it was odd, right?

when my hair's down, and I've had a nightmare... me too, Debr... me too... *shakes head* and ooohhh the combing.

Like acid tripping gypsies trying to make a new soundtrack for a nightmarish Cirque Du Soleil, eh, Mellie? at least, that was my impression!

actually, the bottom two tracks on the player are quite interesting... less...  odd...(sort of)

I think it's the sort of music that grows on you... whether it grows on you like a taste for black coffee, or a brain tumor, is another question entirely  Tongue

Then again, I've always liked weird arse music. If I still had it, I might be tempted to find somewhere to post a song I completed, called Stormchaser... dang hard drive crash killed it. I think.

I do sleep with my hair down, and I leave it loose in the wind.  Man, I have to quit doin that.  The knots are starting to kill me  Sad.  I used to love to walk in the wind with my hair down, now its just tooo much hassle.
