Well--before I indulge my hair length for the month,  I want to say THANKYOU very much for all the help you have given me.  My hair is no longer feeling like dry, damaged, stressed out, overly stretched straw.  From this forum (you guys) I have learned about oiling, S & D, even how to trim my own hair.  Grin Cheesy Wink Smiley Smiley Smiley.  I oiled my hair last nite (soaked it).  Today it looks the best it ever has.

Ok, now for the measurement!!  It is---401/2 inches(mom measured)..  Last month I thought my hair was shrinking.  It's not, it is just better care resulting in healthy hair.  I am thinking the reason it is measuring shorter is cuz it is not all stretched out.  It has body and bounce.  Also, I have learned to *type* my hair.  It is 2c/3a/C/iii.  I measured the circumferance and I got 6 1/2 inches (dry).  Mom measured today and got 6 inches (damp). So, I think it's ok to call it 6 1/4 inches.  HAHAHA!  The end of my braid measures 2 1/2 inches (dry).

I still have about 4 inches to cut off before all the damage is gone and the nape and canopy are even.  Then my hemline will be even and healthy.

Sorry for the long story.

Debr

Congrats, Debr! Is that 40 1/2 loose, or stretched out a little? Either way: Wow.

Hi - I would love to know what my hair type is too!  Could someone point me in the right direction as I've had a search through this site but no luck!  Thanks, JL  Wink
