I don't have a pic, but my worst hair mistake was an at home frosting kit when I was in high school. I didn't leave the house until it was time to go to the salon to get it fixed!  Roll Eyes

My worst hair mistake was during 6th grade. My mom and I had had an argument and I was so angry I took it out on my hair. I went into the bathroom took the scissors and cut my bangs down to the scalp. Yikes! For about 4-5 months I had what looked to be a homemade halo that would not lay down. Boy, did i learn my lesson.

My worst hair disaster was done at a salon.  I was there to get a body perm.  Short story is - the perm didn't take, so they put it in again - on THE SAME DAY!  Shocked My hair fell out in clumps.  Tongue  I wore a wig for a month.  This disaster was what prompted me to grow my hair long - I never wanted to step foot into a hair salon again.  Angry

Oh man, I've had a few hair mistakes!  Tongue

The first was when I was 12 years old - my mother convinced me to get a perm. So my hair lady (same one I've had for almost 20 years now) gave me a home perm setting.  Shocked  Instead of sexy spirals, the strands had more of a Z-shape as if I'd had a terrible crimping accident or stuck my finger in a light socket! All the gel & water in the world wouldn't tame it, so I rocked the shock treatment look for a few months before discovering that I could blowfry my hair straight. So I just did that until the electroshock perm disappeared.

The second was when I was 20. During the week between my wedding and honeymoon, I decided to dye my natural light brown tresses black. As a goth, I'd of course done this a few times before with a semi-permanent and it always washed out in time. When I went to purchase my usual semi-permanent black, however, it was not in stock. So I bought a demi-permanent instead.
Because of the huge difference between my natural color and the artificial color, the dye took permanently and never washed out. When my roots began to show, I used another demi-permanent but in an indigo-black this time. This covered my roots and gave a beautiful blue-ish "moonlit" sheen to my already black hair. But it wasn't long before I wanted my natural haircolor back.
Rather than having the color chemically stripped (which I couldn't afford to do), I opted to cut my waist length hair to just above shoulder length. My roots weren't very long at the time, so I rocked the 2-tone look for about a year: light on top, dark on the bottom. Yikes.  Shocked
When my roots had grown to 6", I finally cut all of the dyed hair off. And I'm happy to report that I've not used haircolor since!!

ha, ha, angel-i too dyed my hair black before my wedding-for some insane reason! i think i wasn't thinking too clearly that last week before with all the excitement and folks coming in from out of town. anyway-it was just far too dark for my skin tone. not good...hence the wedding photos are now printed in black and white to hide that. Smiley

My wife and I went to great clips and I was going to get a haircut and my wife was planning to get a trim.

I got done first and my wife was done shortly after.  But, the lady doing the trim said she had bad split ends so she cut off about seven inches and my wife's hair was a little longer than BSL after the cut.  She was upset but more afraid I would be angry and I was not happy but I told her it would eventually grow back.
Well, it did and we have not been back there and probably never will again.
