Apropos of Nothing
Feb 27th, 2008 at 7:32am

Why do cats insist, but INSIST, on sitting on your keyboard?  A simple trip to the bathroom, and you find that the grades you just entered have been turned to gibberish from a kitty's behind.

Now of course if you were a smart person, you saved the grades before your trip...(whistles, looks around for that person, doesn't find them...)

Small children will also either find the keyboard in the middle of an important document or pull the power cord before you have had a chance to save said document. Roll Eyes

Sorry your kitty added its own take on the grades.  Sad

Because that (insert item here--keyboard, whatever) is taking your attention away from THEM.  They are THE most important thing in your life and you WILL bow to their every whim!  ...At least that's how my kitties replied when I posed this question to them.   Roll Eyes

My sneaky kitties inconspicuously place a toe on the left-click section on the mouse we have.  It took me quite a while (stupid human) to figure out what was going on!  I thought my computer was haunted, but then I heard the clicking...now I move the mouse far away when they jump up here.

Sorry your grades got messed up.  Undecided

My cat, rest her soul, never sat on my keyboard but she did used to lay all over my desk, books, homework, etc.  Roll Eyes  And she used to attack the cursor on the screen when she saw it moving. lol

The cat that currently lives with us (notice how I did not say "our cat"  Angry) doesn't do this either. He may be aware that if he ventures anywhere near my laptop, I'll kindly make a handbag out of him.  Roll Eyes

Ah yes, just one more reason I have 2 dogs. They keep the house barren of cats.

Maybe I should rename this Annoying Cat Behavior.

I came into my bedroom and the persian was on the bed.  She looks at me and I go in to the living room and say, humorously, "I object to a cat sleeping on my bed, with her behind practically on my pillow, raising her head when I come into the room in my pajamas and looking at me like, "Well, what do you want?"

So my husband holds out the spray bottle he uses for training the cats.

I said, "I don't want that; if I miss I'll have a wet bed."

He said, "So don't miss."

I am grading papers today, and there are some papers that I am not bothering to grade, so I take them out of the student's file and put them on the floor, and my siamese has said, "SNOW!" and is treating them accordingly.

sigh
