I have to say, I'm going to have to abandon Pantene.   I've used it for about a year now and liked it, but after reading some of the posts on here about other brands, I decided to buy some and try it.  So I went to an all-natural pharmacy near my house and got Jason brand curl defining shampoo+conditioner.  And it worked great.  My hair smells nice, it's shiny, it's soft, and you can tell the niceness is from the hair and not from it being coated with gunk.  If it always works this well I will be a happy curly for a long time.

I've used JASON brand shampoo and conditioner for several years, and like it as well.  I've never seen a version for curly hair - glad you found it and it seems to work.
