Going into hospital - suggestions for braiding?
Aug 18th, 2008 at 6:43pm

I am headed to the hospital for a procedure and I am worried that my hair could get into horrible tangles. I am thinking of braiding it to keep it nice.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I have found a french braid to do a great job of containing my hair and preventing tangles when having surgery.  The nurses told me they prefer the hair contained in braids because of what it takes to move you from table to table when unconscious.

The last time I had surgery, I had my hair braided and then doubled the braid back up so the end was at the nape of my neck.  It was still comfortable for me to lie on and I didn't have to worry that my braid would get tangled in any equipment.

Good luck with your procedure - I hope all goes well.

Thanks I am thinking that the french braids will be best. Just wish I had someone here that could do it for me - I have not been able to get it right on both sides. Oh well, I will do as good as I can - and I was excited to realize my hair is growing again - I can see my roots! So last night I ordered some henna to dye it with again!
Yeah!!!! I will have long hair soon! Cheesy
