Early Snow
Aug 29th, 2008 at 6:49pm

We are having very nice weather today and it is supposed to be nice tomorrow but come Sunday and Monday they are saying winter weather Shocked
The high for Sunday is around the lower 60's but Monday is in the 50's and the higher 50's have been our lows Tongue

And, there might be some snow in the higher passes (6,000ft. + elevations) so I suppose in the very high peaks the snow will probably stick.

The good news in all of this is it will help make the forest fire season shorter Smiley

The passes did get snow and it looks like maybe a few inches and the snow came pretty close to our town in the surrounding mountains which are a little above 5,000 ft.

We do need the moisture though Smiley

We've not had snow yet, but we have had frost/freeze warnings in the state.  It has been below freezing at least once up north on our land.  Meanwhile, today it was close to 90 on our land.

Yep - that's Minnesota - land of weather extremes.

Up here in Ontario, Canada we only get 2 months of summer. It's not common here to get snow in August, we usually start getting it in around october. We do sometimes still get snow in late May though... Tongue

O snow I am sooo excited.  Very tired of the heat thing we are still doing.  I am really ready for a change of weather routine.  Snow would be excellent now.  Been getting ready for colder weather.  Snow, what a fabulous idea!!!!

Our really high mountains got a foot of snow but it has warmed up since then and we are just getting rain showers off and on.

I would kill (not really, but you get the idea) for rain showers about now.  Upper nineties.  Aug and Sept are the hottest months in my neck of the woods.  I have played in the snow once or twice, but that was just a brief visit.
