Hair drying
Sep 2nd, 2008 at 7:46am

This Summer I began curling my hair, but of course using the kind of curlers where you put them in when your hair is wet, and take them out when it's dry and TA DA, curls! Using heat on my hair for curls seem crazy!!

However, school is starting up in a  few days, and I would absolutely love to wear the curls to school! Only, unless I was to wake up and shower at 3am, my hair wouldn't be dry in time!

So any drying tips to help it dry more quickly?(A couple times I have used the blow dryer on the cool setting, but it barely helps)

The heat would probably work, but I really don't wanna use it.

Hello! Smiley

A good tip would be to maybe shower at night and then sleep with the curlers in... I dont know if that is a very good idea because i havent had very much experience with curlers, but i know people who used to do that.  Good luck!

I suggest sleeping in the curlers and then if your hair is still a little damp, try a diffuser sock to gently finish drying.
I use the foam rollers that twist the ends together and I get crazy curls that last a long time.

I would try washing hair at night and sleeping with the curlers in. I know theyr would be uncomfortable, but you could try sock curlers, they would be softer to sleep on. Smiley

What others have said. If you're bent on curls & don't have time in the morning, take a shower at night and put the curlers in before bed. Your hair will be insanely curly in the morning.

I used to use sponge curlers overnight when I was younger. But one word of caution that I have to throw out there is that this is not a healthy practice if you have an oily scalp. If not, have at it!

Oh, and another little trick is to put your hair into a few French braids (2-3 usually works) and finish them off with curlers at the very ends instead of hairties. You'll wake up to tons of waves with curls at the ends.  Smiley

I typically shower in the evening then roll my hair when it is slightly damp.  I have wonderful curls in the morning that last all day.  (and you can sleep later!) Grin
