Apple Cider "Flavored" Vinegar???
Sep 4th, 2008 at 10:10am

Is Apple Cider Flavored Vinegar just as good as Apple Cider Vinegar? I was at the grocery store and saw a huge jug for a dollar something, so I bought it. I didn't notice that it was just flavored apple cider until a few days ago. I used it and it seemed to work just fine. Is it just white vinegar with apple cider flavoring?

I've never heard of "flavored" vinegar.  You could check the ingredients, but my guess is that it is white vinegar with flavoring.  The flavoring probably doesn't hurt your hair (unless you like to suck on the ends!  Grin )

Don't have to worry about that! My hair isn't long enough to reach my mouth yet! Grin

Flavored vinegar? Huh Huh there's a first. I don't really care for acv because I don't want any color deposits on my blonde hair.  Cool But I've still never heard of flavored...no I doubt it would be a problem because it's probably exactly what BB said. If it doesn't seem to do anything different to your hair then it's probably safe to use.

I used to do that when I was younger, my hair never tasted that good though.  Tongue Probably why I stopped.  Grin

Well, I don't have blonde hair, so I don't have to worry about that.
I wanted to try DWV, but I didn't because I was afraid of the results it would have. I started out using ACV and I knew it worked, so I guess I know that I could use either now! I used it this morning and my hair is supersoft!

DWV & ACV work the same. There's no real difference.

Check out this thread on vinegar rinses, it has several suggestions on the vinegar/water proportions.
