So what exactly would you consider bob length?

So I have hair that is about an inch past my chin, it fits easily into half ponys, and needs 4 (sometimes 5) clips to put in a bun or ponytail. I'm not sure how to classify this...would you still cosider it to be bob length?
What is your opinion?

I remember when my hair was that length Smiley I think it is still technically a bob. In a few more inches, you will be at shoulder length.

Technically some bobs are down to the shoulders.

My last bob was cut to mid neck which on me is a little past chin.  My hair is juuust below shoulders in the back so I no longer have a bob. Cheesy  After the hairdresser blowdried my hair yesterday, it sure looked like a bob until I washed my hair this morning. Roll Eyes  I never blowdry my hair at home anymore.

Actually, it looked more like a bouffant yesterday. Embarrassed  I know it's a late 50s style but it's usually associated with the 60s and I am so not a 60s chick!  I'm more 50s housewife minus the short poodle perm. Grin  I love the 20s-50s and I do like the short tidy styles...on other people's heads! Wink

Hmmm that's a good question...I would class my hair as a bob right now as it is almost sitting on my shoulders.  I've heard people refer to their hair as a short bob or a long bob so I guess it's down to individual opinion  Questioning
