Nose pins and rings
Dec 6th, 2008 at 10:40pm

Hi Ladies and Gents!

I was wondering who here wears nose pins and or other hard ware on there face.  I have my nose done and use nose pins but found the ones with the hooks to be far better as I do not loose them.  Tonight I have in a small gold ring. I was thinking of getting a Marilyn ( it is done over my lip like Marilyn Monroes beauty mark).  Don joked about getting my tounge done but I do not think that is going to happen lol!!  So if anyone has any advise please chim in!

Gawd, I blow my nose way too often to pierce it. So that's out. Grin

Personally, I think that Marilyns are one of the most unattractive facial piercings a person can have. *shrug* I don't know...it just doesn't look right to me. Undecided

If it was between that and piercing the tongue, I would opt for the tongue. It's far sexier in my opinion and heals much quicker should you ever change your mind and not want it pierced anymore.

Just my 2¢.

Hey, Lisa-I have my left nostril pierced and a Monroe on my right upper lip.  I get tons of compliments on my facial piercings!  I always wear nostril screws as they are very comfortable and stay in even when you blow your nose.  I have a couple of nath that are costume jewelry that are 1" to 1.5" rings with the chain that hooks into my hair.  I wear a simple stainless steel ball bead for my nostril-they're really easy to change out.  My nostril piercing is too high for me to wear a small ring.

Cool!  Tell me did the Monroe hurt alot and was there any brusing?  I use the nose screws too Smiley  I also wear a golden ring as well of which is very small and would love the one with the chain! Smiley  I have alot of different nose pins all colors and shapes.  Yet I love the screws cause I do not loose them!  I was loosing them lot! lol!

The Monroe was didn't hurt at all, and it went in super quick!  I've never had any brusing with any of my piercings.  The only issue I had was that after the swelling goes down, the bar is quite long and sometimes it would catch on my tooth if I moved my upper lip too much when eating.  I switched out the bar after the healing period and have zero problems now.

I got my costume nath from www.profoundia.com.

I had to check that site to see what a nath was.  I've seen them before and think they're pretty but I'd be so nervous that it might get caught onto something.  Not that I would get my nose pierced in the first place.  My nose is bulbous and not angular enough for a piercing to be cute. Tongue

Lisa, you're going wild woman! Grin  I'm sure your new work will be nice.  Getting my belly button pierced was my favorite thing.  Not the actual act.  At first it didn't hurt at all but hours later it was so sore and I couldn't sleep on my stomach for about a week.  Now, I'm never without a belly ring in.  I love it so much!  Do you know what tattoo's you're going to get?

Oh yeah I am going wild!  LOL!!  You see with Don lets me be who I am.  I am not held back or pressured as I once was.  Well the tatt Don suggested was a little peach on the left my bikini line. Roll Eyes  I was thinking of different ones for my divorce...  Little wings on my bum...or perhaps a japanese character the means "Freedom"  Coming to think of it want I really wanted was a giesha on my back!  It would be something I myself would draw or be from a classical japanese artist.  Well whatever I pic Don has an awesome tattoo artist as a friend who also does the pericings as well Smiley Oh yeah Don has a tattoo as well, its a falcon in a circle on his left forearm. Smiley

That's so good for you! Smiley

I like the peach idea as well as the japanese character.  A geisha would be very cool too.  I actually really like that idea.

My husband would like me to get a small tattoo on my hip bone but I'm pretty sure that I'm done with tattoo's.  I have a tiny sun on the inside of my wrist and I hate it.  I still like the idea but the artwork leaves a lot everything to be desired.  If anything, I'll get it removed and re-done.
