hair regimen (tips-products-improvements)
Mar 24th, 2009 at 5:34am

Ok so a month ago I cut a lot of my hair off (the last of my old colored/damaged hair) so i could start growing it out the right way. It was really hard to do, but I am happy I cut it because my hair is soft/shiny/wavy like it used to be and I know it will grow faster now. I want to share my hair regimen and maybe you guys could give me some tips/products/anything on how to improve it so my hair will grow as quickly/healthy as possible?

Washing:
-tigi bed head superstar sulfate free shampoo (i workout everday so daily washing is a must)
-pantene nature fusion moisture balance conditioner

Styling:
-pantene nature fusion smoothing creme (very little)
-blowdry on low/cool until mostly dry (my hair looks odd when completely air dried at this length)

Treatment:
-ojon restorative hair treatment (let sit overnight; weekly)

Vitamins:
-gnc women's ultra nourish hair
-nature made fish oil
-nature made vitamin c

Product Raves:
-I have pretty fast hair growth naturally, almost an inch a month. Since taking the gnc women's ultra nourish hair it has been growing a a good bit faster and its much shiner. It isn't a miracle product but it works very well.
-I recently purchased the ojon restorative hair treatment, its pretty expensive (fifty dollars a jar), but I can honestly say it is the best hair product I have tried. I put it in at night and wash it out in the morning once a week. From the first use I felt and saw a difference.

Alright, sorry that was so long. This is my hair regimen and if you guys have any tips/products/improvements that would be great. I put the product raves in because those are pretty awesome. Thanks!

WoW 1 inch a month... You should be very grateful for that!! Grin
The only thing you can really do to ensure your hair grows as quickly as possible is just to make sure your ends stay in stellar condition. Do you do any ACV or WV rinses? Or oil? These could help the overall health of your hair, in addition to your Ojon Hair treatment.

Ok, while that isn't too bad, you already know the consequences of daily styling. Or at least you should. So without rehashing what's been said a million times over on this site, I'll only suggest that if you do feel the need to blowfry every day (you're not safe even on the cool setting), you should allow your hair to air dry at least 75% first. Use the blowfryer as a finishing tool only.

midnight angel- although my hair looks weird when i air dry it at this length, your tip worked well for me. i still used cool and low settings plus a diffuser, and dried my hair when it was barely damp. my hair still became smoother so this tip was a surprising success. i think that when my hair is just a little longer i can switch back to air drying without getting the small random flips in my waves that i do now. thanks for the advice it was very helpful Smiley

waiting4longlocks- ok i know that acv is the apple cider vinegar rinse, i do this sometimes when i go home but i dont want to be weird and make my dorm bathroom smell like vinegar haha. but summer break is coming up how often should i do this? what is a wv rinse? the ojon treatment is a solid that when you rub it between your hands it becomes oil, it is from a south american tree and its really really good you guys should check it out. thanks!

WV = White vinegar.. There is also no smell after you rinse it out, unlike ACV. You could try putting in a sealed water bottle and then quickly running it through your hair. If you dilute the WV well enough, your dormmates might not even notice the smell when you do the rinse.

I'll check out the Ojon treatment.. it sounds interesting!
