Hi, I'm a new member

I have no idea how to upoad photos on here sorry.
This is my hair (if the pic shows up) after getting it cut to shoulder blade length last November. I try to keep it healthy but I used to get highlights every 6 months and it really damaged my hair. Everything from my scalp to my neck is uncolored, unbleached growth. Ugh, I HATE my natural color, but I would rather have healthy hair.

Nice to meet you, Rbooh.

Your natural colour is beautiful! And your texture looks nice too. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Be sure to keep getting regular trims, use quality products and maintain good nutrition. Nature will take care of the rest. Smiley

Hi and welcome to LongLocks!  I like your hair color, too!  Looks like your hair grows fast, lucky!!

How do you like to wear your hair most often?

Thank you for reading my post. I feel like the new awkward kid in school  Cheesy

I usually wear my hair in a French braid or a style that is a kind of flip with braids coiled... I'll do it up tomorrow and take more pics.

I also want to say that I have gotten so much useful information from this site. I was using olive oil liberally on my hair, never realizing that its basically an acid. I plan on spending as much time reading everyones posts as I can spare, cuz I'm hooked Smiley

Hello and welcome! It looks like your hair color is about the same as mine.  Healthy hair any color is beautiful.  Smiley

Hello ladies, thanks for the welcome Smiley

I did my hair up yesterday and during my break took a couple of pictures and sadly, after looking at the pics I don't like my updo lol It looks oddly frizzy and my hair is stick straight. I love the side view, but from the back... ugh. I finally used some ACV and once I got past the odor I loved it cuz it left my hair so soft. I slept in my updo accidentally and today my hair has crazy body. For those ladies that have difficulty doing a French braid, I learned by watching a friend do her's, then practicing. I can only do a regular French braid ( the type that goes down the middle of your hair ) I would love to learn how to do the kind thats on each side of the head.

Doing a double french braid is not that different than doing a single.  You just start by parting your hair from the forehead to the nape.  Then french braid each side!
