I'm a big advocate of coconut oil. Love the stuff. It's very light and does the business on my hair. I use it daily!  Grin

I love my coconut oil, too, thanks to Rua!

What get I order I online from camden-grey.com and it is called fractionated coconut oil.  It stays liquid and does not solidify like other coconut oils I have tried.   I have tried some refined coconut oils that solidify at 76 degrees or so, not quite sure.  Anais Satin knows.

There is a virgin coconut oil that is said to smell very yummy.  I wouldn't mind trying that for a hot oil treatment.

But that will have to go on my "want list" for now.

Another thing Rua told me about that I LOVE, ylang ylang essential oil.  I put a few drops in my bottle of coconut oil and I also have a mist-er bottle with coconut oil, distilled water and several drops of ylang ylang.  It is sooooo yummy!

Oh, YAY!!! I'm so glad that those things worked out for you, Strawberryfine!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

The ylang ylang is lovely, isn't it? I find that when I use it for a deep conditioning treatment at nighttime, the smell is so relaxing. It just chills me right out!

(And that's really something for me, since I'm so sensitive to smells normally anyway!)

ylang ylang is wonderful! its another scent that I've used in the past to hide/mix with other oils. coco oil by itself smells too much like I've been sunbathing or something -- lol.

While hanging out at my boyfriends mother's house, I found some coconut oil in her kitchen cabinet...It says on the back of the jar its pure 76 degree coconut oil, but its use is for popcorn...Could I put this in my hair or would it be no good because its been prepared for cooking? I'm always sooo clueless!  ???
