Getting Help
Jun 4th, 2003 at 12:01am

Do you ever find that when you get your significant other to help you with your hair care routine - washing, brushing, braiding, etc - that they don't like it as much after a while? Just wondering! I haven't had anyone brush my hair or anything for me but I was curious as to how guys take it!

Richard hates it, though he has gotten much better at it.  When he first started doing it he couldn't even braid, and now he can even do four- and five-strand braids and French braids.  I think he'd like it more if I cut it a bit so it would knot less.  I'm still debating on going back to waist length hair, and that's a big reason.

My husband has never helped much with my hair other than to do my trims and detach me from objects that my hair entangled itself into.

Recently, however, he was watching me struggle with  dutch braids (my hair kept tangling) and did offer to help.  There might be hope yet that he will learn to braid my hair!

I would love for someone to brush my hair and wash it for me, but I'm afraid they might not like it. Well hmm guess I'll just have to wait and see! Long hair is a lot of work.

I love to have my hair brushed. When I was young my older cousins would love to brush it. I only had a guy brush my hair once...soo nice. My soon to be ex-husband loved my hair long, but found it to be an inconvience at certain times Lips Sealed

I still dream of someone washing my hair like in the film"Out of Africa". So sensual. Geez! I need a boyfriend. Sad

Yeah, and it doesn't hurt when it's Robert Redford doing the washing, LOL!

So, you need a bf?  Go make a post on our personal boards, maybe you'll get lucky!  At least you'll know he'll like long-haired women  :D

Isn't that the  truth!

Maybe I will post to the personals, I never have done anything like it. It appears that I might me the first one. Yikes!
