What to do?

Hi there,
no in my holidays I do not blow- dry my hair- I am wearing it up all the time and want it to relax
My problem is this: If I do not blow dry, my hair gets flat after a little while and does not have any volume ???
I would love to dry naturally but it doesnīt look good
There are two possibilities for me: Blow- drying oder braiding my hair so that it is curly when I open it. What can I do? I do not know why my hair behaves this way- maybe it has become to heavy ???

Well, braiding it seems like a good option!
My aunt has hair just above her butt, and she permed it (it's straight) to get more volume. It didn't look good because it was very messy, but recently she got some layers cut in, and it looks great! Plus it's full of volume!
I have a question though - when I used to blow dry my hair, rather than making it more volumized, it would make it flat and straight. How come yours doesn't do this?
Oh yes - and brushing hair upside down always gives more volume!

#The problem while braiding it (so many problems
) is that most of teh time my hair will be still dump when I open it the next day
When I blow dry it, the waves I have naturally will be gone but the volume stays

Here's an idea - damp bunning! A lot of people with long hair swear by this, and I've tried it and find that it's quite good.
There are quite a few ways to do this. I let my hair dry for a little while and then bun it with a hairstick (the idea being a damp bun, not a wet one). Yes, it will still be damp when you take it out, but the idea is to keep the moisture in, and it gives volume in waves
! I also keep undoing my bun throughout the day, finger combing it to let some air in, and then bunning it again. It feels so good especially in hot weather like this! Hope this helps some

My hair never looks good air-dried because I have to use a little heat to keep it straight and voluminous. Blow-drying is not the ultimate hair sin if done right. I use a leave-in conditioner, and blow-dry in very short periods of time. I go for 1 minute of blowing, 15-30 minutes ofair-dry and repeat the cycle for two to three hours. Some people may not have this time, but I find that with long hair it only needs washing twice a week, so it's not a problem.

This method I am using too
I used to wash my hair every day or every second day but since three month I only wash it twice a week and usually blow- dry it carefully or braid it/ do it into a bun while itīs damp.

I was just wondering, how long is your hair, hippychick?

My hair is waist-length now. It was just cut 4 inches a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know how to take care of it for the longest time, so I had a lot of damage, but that's almost gone. I think the actual measurement is about 26 inches. I'm only 5 feet tall, so that's pretty long on me.
