Removing Dye
Jan 13th, 2004 at 7:06pm

Hi all. Smiley Just a quick question: I've been using Manic Panic for the past six months. It's a semi-permanent which fades with each wash (pink suds is kind of neat, but my now two-toned shower curtain hates me). I know my hair will keep a red tint most likely, and I'm fine with that - I love red - but I'd like to get most of it out asap. Is there a way to remove semi-permanents without using chemicals? I really DO NOT want to use strippers of any sort. Thanks.

While I don't know that it will remove all the color, hot oil treatments will remove a lot of non permanent color.

Vinegar/water rinses also "remove" some semi-perm coloring.

I know this is late and probably don't need it right now but I really highly recommend ColorFix. It will turn your hair orange or gold (if was bleached blond) depending the color of your hair beforehand but you can either bleach or re-color in your natural color. It always worked for me, it even removed SFX dyes for me. Great stuff.  Grin
