To answer firstly the questions posed already.

How long is your hair?
28" and still growing (more about that later)

What color is your hair?
Auburn

Is your hair straight/curly/wavy?
Its awkward. Its a mixture of all. Depends how it dries.

Do you have favorite products to use on your hair?
believe it or not, the local supermarkets own brand! If they are out of stock, then I swear by Charles Worthington hair healer, intensive leave in conditioner.

What are your favorite hair accessories?
Decorative metal clips (filigree especially) or bar clips


being a Leo, my mane is my pride and joy, however whilst I like to look after it, I feel that there is something more important. When I was in highschool, one of my friends had cancer and lost her hair through the treatment. Sadly she didn't make it, however I swore that I would try and do something to help make it easier on kids with the same problem. When I was 18, I got my hair cut to just below my chin. Shortest it had ever been. I realised after that what I wanted to do. There is a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer from donated hair, and thats what I'm growing mine for. One day, I'll cut it and hand it over because I can grow it again. Some of these kids cant. I'd like to make what time they have left a little easier.

Well, thats why I've got long hair. Thats why I put up with it tickling my nose at night, getting into my lunch at work, wrapping itself around my neck and choking me in my sleep, and blocking up the pipes in the bathroom.

I think its worth it one way or the other.

What a beautiful and totally unselfish reason for having long hair. I've only done it for the glory thus far -- oh, I hate to cut it. I cringe at each hair that breaks or falls to the ground.

I do give blood, though. Parting with my hair would really be tough! Gulp! THAT would be a sacrifice!

*begin ranting* I had a friend that was going to donate her hair to Locks of Love. They cut off four inches to make sure it was all even and had no split ends. After that, they said her hair wasn't long enought to donate! What jerks! Wouldn't you think that they would measure first and subtract the four inches and figure out that it wasn't long enough before they even went near it with scissors?! I feel bad for those little kids out there that will never have hair of their own, and admire that there are people generous enough to donate, but these people that cut it need to learn a few things about long hair and the people growing it. *end ranting*
