I found some pics of how to do a French braid

OK I know most of you know how to do this. But maybe not everyone does. There could be other newbies like me lurking around here.

So here is a link:

http://www.wannaseehow.com/culture/french.html

It looks so easy until I try it myself.

Just an idea for this site - maybe there could be a forum or FAQ for beginner questions which are obvious to most of you but not for someone new to the hair style scene.

Thanks

M

I'm still struggling just with a normal braid Flaming_Bunny. I kind of see what I have to do. I know it in my head. But as soon as I put my hands behind my head I start to get lost. On the couple of times that I have got most of my hair into an actual braid, it's kind of gone off on a diagonal slant. Other times I just have lots of bits sticking out.

How long is your hair? Any tips for a beginner Smiley

Why's it called a plait by the way?

Just curious.

dont know why its called a plait here in merry ol' england...just one of those things!

erm....tips for braids....well apart from being born a girl (its one of those things we females learn at an early age), i guess one thing i could suggest is practice on someone else. once youve got that going it'll be easier to work the 3 strands on yourself. hope that helps a little bit  Smiley sorry i cant be much more help  Embarrassed
