Hi -

I thought I'd follow bikerbraid's excellent advice and do some random posting. Grin

I just found out that one of my best friends is getting married in September! It's a secret (shhh, don't tell), but they told my boyfriend and me because they wanted us to be their witnesses. I was so touched!

Anyway, does anyone have a good suggestion for a hen's night type of thing, considering that I can't invite anyone else? I'd really like to do something fun with the bride-to-be, but it should have that element of surprise and the unusual. I suppose we could really do something all 4 of us, but of course it should still have something different about it.

/Kate

Although I'm about wedding'd out, I might be able to throw in an idea or two.

How about an afternoon at a salon for a manicure/pedicure?  Or time at a spa for a massage and facial?

If you want to do the "bachelorette" type night out - find a bar with a ladies' night to visit.  We found a cute Tshirt for the bride to wear  with "Center of Attention" across the front.

Good luck to your friend!

Or how 'bout doing something the guys typically hate to do, like going to an art gallery, the theatre or the ballet?  I'm lucky enuf that my hubby enjoys the arts but I had plenty of boyfriends in the past who *despised* them and I would have given anything to get out and see those things during my art "droughts" :D
