Hi to Everyone!
I really hope I am doing this right!

I'm just glad to be here!

I am 48 1/2 years old with just a sprinkling of grey but my predominant color is strawberry-auburnish. (But the last 3 inches still has last summer's bleach, covered by an apricot color and 5 vol. developer)

It is currently 15.5" long, my ponytail circumference is 2.75"  Very close to all one length, no bangs. It's been waist length twice before.

I have slightly wavy, very fine hair which will "scrunch" in to waves/curls quite easily, and go mostly straight without much effort (and without a blow dryer).

I change products constantly (I'm a liscensed cosmetologist since 1987).  I avoid cones, do oil occasionally and use a slightly modified CO washing routine (since April-04).  -Use vinegar rinses from time to time, and always cold water rinses.

The only appliance I use and very rarely, is my Vidal Sassoon Negative Ion Dryer with built in diffuser on the low setting.  If I'm in a real hurry I will sometimes just dry the roots with this dryer even when I'm wearing my hair straighter.  Where can I get an Aquis towel? Sorry, I digress.  I will find a more appropriate place to ask that question.

I love hair toys. My current favorite accessory is a barrette by Vidal Sassoon, Soft Touch.  They are soft, have no metal, nothing sharp--they feel kind of rubbery almost.

(I have 3 longhaired cats!) I know that is not one of the questions.... Wink

I am just delighted to be here! I've learned so much from all of you by just 'lurking' these past months!

Welcome!!  Glad to see you here.  Wow - as a licensed cosemetologist, maybe you will have lots of great insight and suggestions for us all.  Wink

Sounds like you've been involved with the long hair community to know about CO washes, etc.  Thanks for jumping right in!

Thanks bikerbraid!

I'm afraid most of what I would tell you about the mainstream cosmetology industry would be disappointing-partly why I left but keep my liscense current-- just in case I am ever in a position to open a long hair salon!

But if there is anything hair related that I can help anyone with, I'd be glad to give it a shot!  I worked as a self-employed stylist for 9 years, primarily with fine hair but did other textures as well.
