More of Kaylin's braids...
Aug 31st, 2004 at 1:42pm

I've gotten quite good at putting braids into my own hair now, that i can do it without sitting in front of a mirror and it takes me about ten minuites now for both sides.

...

This was taken about two or three weeks ago. It's a Dutch classic and the two little roses are fabric roses I've had for a while attached to bobby pins. I usually tuck them in where I can. I want to get more ribbon and those little roses things and do more with it.

Very cute! How do you keep your braid so tight at the top? Mine always spread themselves out. The ear is a nice touch.  Grin

What a great hairstyle!  The roses really make it special.

Very pretty! I'm impressed; I can never get my braids to stay tight enough. I like the roses too.  Smiley

Not sure how it stays tight actually, but I do find that holding the strands of the braid close to the top does help.
Meaning, where the hair strands ccross together, if I hold them tightly nearest to those without actually getting in my own way.
I also do my hair when it's dry, and brush as I go along.

I also like the roses. Little fabric ones I got ages ago for a costume, which I have since clipped off and started using has hair accessories. Smiley
I want tog et some of the little fabric roses that you find in craft shops too.
