Another n00b!

Hullo all!

Ach, it's great to find a place where I can prattle on about hair with like-minded and interested people. I found this website while Googling up tips for growing hair long.

I'm Carrot, I'm 18, and I'm an artist. I adore cats and rats, and I have a supposedly disturbing interest in piercings and Edwardian/Victorian clothing. :B

My hair is thick, and halfway between red and golden blonde. Alas, it is so dry and I swear half of it has fallen out through stress and lack of health. The longest back parts of it are creeping over my butt, the sides have only managed the waist at this stage, and the ends are full of split ends. But I'm so attached to the length, and afraid of getting it chopped (I can't find a hairdresser that respects and caters for very long hair - they all want me to chop more off and get it styled) that I just let it go wild.

I look forward to interacting with you all, and hopefully learning how to better grow out my hair and keep it healthier. Grin

Welcome Carrot!

Hope we can help you out with your hair goals.  I understand about not wanting to cut the damaged ends.  I really should trim about 6", but I can bring myself to do it.
