A few months ago, for my birthday, I received  John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner as a gift, and just recently started using it.  It is supposed to bring out all the natural colors and highlights of natural, color treated and highlighted brunettes ( I am a natural brunette).  When I use the shampoo and conditioner in conjunction with each other, I am not really having good results.  My hair is left feeling weighed down and waxy, but it does have a really nice cocoa-y fragrance to it (if I'm trying to find an upside to it!).  I tried just using the shampoo with my normal conditioner, which is currently Biolage, and had better results with that, but still not as good as sticking to Biolage shampoo and conditioner together.  As for any color difference, I don't see any.  Really nothing to brag about.  I'll use it up just to get rid of it - I hate to waste - but don't think that I would ever buy it again.  Has anyone else used his products?  I know he has a line for blondes, too, although I can't think of what it's called right now.  Just wondering anyone else thinks of this stuff.  Thanks! 

Aha! So then I'm not alone....

...You know, my older sister used to do that to me too, pass down the clothes, makeup, and hair-stuff that she didn't like...and of course....I was always thrilled to get it!  Poor, naive, little me!!!  I looked like a less-fashionable little clone of her!

I didn't like the Frizz-Ease Shampoo or Conditioner. It felt too heavy when I applied it. It didn't make my hair greasy or dull or anything that I would consider bad. I just didn't like the way it felt going on my hair.

I have the Brilliant Brunette finishing creme.  It isn't great but I don't despise it.  When I do use it, I only need a small dab and the small container has lasted over a year.   And yes, the cocoa fragrance is nice...   When it is finally gone, I doubt that I am going to buy it again.  But, I think I should try it again because I haven't used it since starting my new hair routine.  Like you, I have not noticed any benefit to my brunette color.

I've used a few of the frieda products and didn't like the shampoos/conditioners at all. The shampoos are REALLY drying and seem  to create damage, and the conditioners are so heavy that after a couple of times i feel the need to clarify. Between the two, I can see using those products for very long would probably wreck my hair.
The sea kelp masque is great though.
But I do use the brilliant brunette shine shock perfecting glosser EVERY day. It's great! I use a dab when my hair is still wet and it leaves my hair soft and tangle free and shiny. I don't even have brunette hair, just low lights and some darker streaks, but it seems to work fine on me.
I also used to use this styling gel for blondes that has a gold tint to it and is kind of sparkly. It's not the wax, but I can't remember what it is called. I like that stuff too.

Maybe you need to use it one more time to convince yourself, then you won't feel so bad pitching it!
