??? I have been using this Provitamin AntiFrizz hair serum and I'm not sure if it cause my new split ends. Doea any one know of a web site that will explain what these ingredients do? Oh and does anyone know the difference between jojoba oil and (jojoba) seed oil? I bought the sauve milk and honey conditioner and one of the ingredients in it is Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) seed oil.

Brush cleaning????

Can anyone tell me how to clean my wood boar bristle brush? I haven't had it that long but it does need to be cleaned, and I have never cleaned any of my brushes before. Oh and what are some other good oils to buy other than jojoba?

I'd like to know the answer to that, too, as I just bought
one.   I like jojoba oil the best, so far for my hair.  I don't
know the difference between that and jojoba seed oil.
Sorry I'm no help!!

Jojoba oil and jojoba seed oil are the same thing.  The oil comes from the seed (sometimes referred to as the bean or fruit) of the jojoba plant.

Simmondsia Chinensis is the botanical name for the jojoba plant.

some people advise lukewarm diluted vinegar but i tried that on mine and it left a nasty smell to it cuze mine contains rubber or whatever plastic. maybe it works for one with just wood and hair. but if you don't want to risk it: shampoo will do just fine.

Thanks everyone I'm still a little new at proper hair care. I'll have to try that on my brush styg thanks. I actually found a 4 oz bottle of jojoba oil on a web site for 4.50 seems like the lowest price I have found yet.

Well I have tryed the co washing but I don't like it doesn't clean my scalp and it makes it a little greasy if I do it. So today I C Scalp wash then C, I'll see how I like that. And I'm also doing a single braid in the shower before i get out while its still dripping then blot my hair with a towel after I get out, well see how I like doing that at least when I have to go out other wise I'll leave it down when I'm going to be home all day.

Re: Pantine Pro-V?

Is pantine good for your hair or bad? I have seen comercials for there over night treatment and was wondering if it was any good. My mother-in-law how doesn't know anything says that pantine is bad for your hair because it has acrylic in it and she says that is bad for the hair, does any one know if this is true? If not I'm going to buy me some!

I found a new hobby while growing my hair out!!! I found some patterns for crocheting hair accessorys (can't spell) I made me a hair scarf. I don't like the first I made but I was working on one but the pattern seems to be a little messed up so I'll just have to keep working on it. But I am going to go buy me some burgandy yarn and make this: http://web.archive.org/web/20010105080700/www.cancrochet.dhs.org/rwfilet_kerchie... or at least I'm going to try.

I think there is quite a debate about Pantene on this site because of the 'cones they use.

I've found them to be good up to a certain point - when my hair gets too weighed down and I have to switch to something else. Haven't tried the overnight stuff, but I'd be curious about it. I didn't know Pantene had acrylic in it. That's news to me!

I love the hair scarf! Let us know how you get on with making that!

Well I looked at the over night treatment and there aren't any cones in it, but I didn't get it because they didn't have much of anything in it. I got aussies 3 minute conditioner instead. It has soom good stuff in it.

Lego,
I really like the aussie "Three minute miracle"  It's a bit more than a regular conditioner, but not as heavy as a mask.  I also like the Pantene restorative treatment, which is great for a deep condition and only takes five minutes.

Let me know what you think of the Aussie products!

I used some of it today and it made my hair really soft. This isn't the first time I have use aussie products. I used to use it a few years ago but I stopped because of the price, I have always like it though especially the smell.

I think it is the George Michael hair care routine.  I don't know much about it; there was a thread maybe a month back that explained it a little.  What I do know, is that he is practically the only big name stylist that likes long hair and has designed products and salon treatments specifically for long hair.  He also believes that all hair should be the same length, so no bangs or layers.

Lego- look at this site: www. georgemichael-longhair.com/tips it explains the GM philosophy on long hair.  I don't necesarrily believe it myself, having no had
all one length hair for such a long time, I could'nt say
if my hair was better or not that way.
