Greetings from the dark continent!
Dec 26th, 2004 at 6:09pm

Hi ya'll,
I'm a new member from Johannesburg, South Africa. I just LOVE this site, it's given me more ideas than any other on the web. My hair is a deep red and naturally curly. For thirty-three years I fought the curls and even had them professionally straightened by my younger sister who is a hair-stylist. But since turning 33, I decided to go "au naturel" and leave the curls in. I've now resigned myself to curls and have actually learned to love them.  Cheesy
I love to play with my hair with new styling techniques, does anyone know of any decent sites with instructions on hair styles I could try? (I'd try anything once!)

Hi!  Welcome!  I am new to this site as well, and I really have enjoyed it.

I am not sure of any websites to help you with ideas, but I bet you'll get some help here.

I would love to have some curls.  I say enjoy your curly hair!!

Warm Welcome Spaceybabe! My hubby's uncle lives in Johannesburg. Hubby says its a beautiful country (he visited around 10 years ago). I've never been. Only heard his stories and seen the pictures.

You're hair sounds lovely! I've always wanted red curls...*sigh*.

At least I've got the red!

A good site for braiding techniques and styles is http://www.dreamweaverbraiding.com/

Other than that...stick around this site and you'll get plenty of ideas!

See you 'round the boards!  Smiley

I was thinking the same thing, Rua!  Ohhh to have red curls.. but you know, with all the french braiding I've been doing, I end up with lovely red waves myself... hurray!

Glad to have another "firey" on our boards.
