How wavy must you be to not be straight?

I'm not even sure what my question is.  I just know this hair-typing indecision is getting to me.

I'd say you have beautiful body to your hair - who cares about the typing!   Grin

Thank you, Bikerbraid!

You really gave me a lift this afternoon.  Thank you so much for the compliment!

Your hair is gorgeous!  I can't wait until I have that much length, if my hair will even grow that long!

You're an inspiration!

Thanks again,
SF

my idea is your hair isn't stick straight for sure. the other types of waves fia describes ... euh, i think you need more length to be sure and longer hair can get way more wavier sometimes ("old" hair behaves differently) or very wavy hair can get less wavy due to gravity ... one can't predict which phenomenom  will "win".

My babyfine hair is lots less wavy than when it was shoulder length, pulled straight by gravity, no doubt.

Strawberryfine, I think you should gel it and see if you can get up some curl.

eKatherine,

I did gel tonight with aloe vera gel and I got a lot more waves and some curls.

Thanks for the idea!

Here's a picture taken after washing, conditioning, blotting, air drying.  No touching it at all.

...

I promise I'm going to make these smaller!

my hair is more wavy at the current length than let's say if i had it cut an inch or two past my shoulders. i had always thought that it was the dye that did it. now i am not sure. it's the first year i stopped touching up the top layers with new dye after the summer so the condition of my hair should improve. maybe in four years i could say if it was really the dye but then it will probably also be a lot longer
