Do you notice a difference in the amount of curl or wave you have after using different products?

I can tell that some conditioners leave more "coating" and result in less wave in my hair.  I prefer "lighter" conditioners that let my hair "do its thing".

Can you get enough conditioning from the lighter conditioners?

Hmmm Depends on your hair... depends on the porosity and moisture content. Mine absolutely requires a cone, whether the cone is water-soluble or not. I would think though,... that the finer the hair, the better off you'd be with a lighter conditioner. my two cents.
